Torch
Grade
Commonly referred to as "burn-off" film and is
used primarily in the commercial roofing
industry with modified bitumen APP (Atactic
Polypropylene) and SBS (Styrene Butadiene
Styrene) membranes. These films can be made from
either thin gauge polypropylene or polyethylene
material and used to prevent "blocking" of the
rolls.
Ultimately the film, as the name suggests, is
burned off with a flame torch and melts,
allowing the modified bitumen membrane to adhere
to itself in a process known as heat welding.
HMW - HDPE Torch Grade
R283 - BOPP Torch Grade |
